Charlie Shinneman is the Owner and CEO of Shinneman Wealth Group, a comprehensive financial services firm offering financial planning to help clients create strategies for their wealth. He has put together a team of caring, knowledgeable & professional people that work together with clients to establish their goals and build confidence in retirement.

Charlie Shinneman graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Financial Counseling and Planning and has been working in the financial services industry for nearly a decade. Charlie has worked for a debt settlement firm before entering into the banking industry, he has since been affiliated with McAdam Financial in downtown Chicago and continues to grow his client base. He has excelled as an independent financial advisor at McAdam and decided to expand his scope to further service clients in the industry. On January 1, 2017, Charlie acquired what is now SWG and serves a larger client base with his knowledge and experience in financial planning.

His professional focus is helping his clients pursue their financial goals and create strategies to help build wealth while keeping assets safe from market volatility. He has a broad scope of financial products that he specializes in ranging from fixed index annuities to brokerage accounts.

Julia has been serving Shinneman Wealth Group through various roles since 2017, and just recently became the firm’s newest financial advisor when she passed the Series 65 Exam in early 2025. Julia holds licenses in life and health insurance, and a designation as a Retirement Income Certified Professional (R.I.C.P.). She is also Shinneman Wealth Group’s resident Medicare coverage agent.

Julia has a master's degree in mental health counseling and in her prior career, she was a licensed practicing counselor in various settings. Julia brings her passion for mental health into the financial space. She focuses on actively listening to her clients and helping them in a non-judgmental manner to navigate obstacles to and through retirement one step at a time to achieve goals.

Julia's goal is to leave her clients with a feeling of ultimate well-being when implementing their wealth and health planning with Shinneman Wealth Group.

Brian has been an integral part of the Shinneman Wealth Group team since its establishment in January 2017. Brian has worked as a financial client service representative since 2015 and has developed a great rapport with our clients. As the only member of the previous ownership to stay with the company, Brian has shown great loyalty to our clients and our mission. He has over 15 years of client service experience and has a strong passion for helping our clients understand their financial accounts. He has newfound excitement for the direction of the company with Charlie as the owner and fully supports his vision on how to best serve our clients moving forward. Brian is licensed in Annuities and Life Insurance from the Illinois Department of Insurance, and strives to help all of our clients with the strategies and products that best support their retirement needs and goals.

Christian was born and raised in Chicago by his immigrant parents who left El Salvador at a very young age, with no English. All they had was a strong work ethic and a dream to create a better life for themselves. As a first-generation child, Christian had the opportunity to watch and learn what can be accomplished with hard work and determination. That mindset has stuck with him from his hobbies, like playing basketball, to his professional career. Christian takes pride in ensuring that his clients have an extraordinary experience, as he is committed to building a genuine relationship and a lifetime of service. Christian is dedicated to providing you with honesty and top-level professional service. He is bi-lingual in English and Spanish.

Christian’s educational experience began in the inner city, continued to a private high school in the northwest suburbs, and finally concluded when he graduated from U of I in Urbana-Champaign with a degree in Marketing. This experience has allowed him to meet and create strong relationships with people from all walks of life, which has played a strong role in the success he has had in his banking, sales, customer service, and real estate experience. Through this experience, he has developed a passion for helping others achieve their goals.
